Carissa Swimming In The Texas Blue Hole - Above & Below views

When you find out that there is a Blue Hole in Texas where dinosaurs used to traverse and hang out, you just have to go check it out! I've been to several blue holes, but this one was original in that it had petrified dinosaur prints in the clay and was very warm; at least it started out warm in the shallow area until I decided to take a dip in the actual "hole", where the spring head is located. It was a little eerie; you can't see the bottom, and it is a greenish yellow hue to the water, making visibility very limited! My imagination kept getting the best of me, envisioning a large prehistoric fish coming up and deciding to take me as it's tasty morsel for the day! However, I will tell you, the 'hole' was actually very cold, which was a nice change from the hot humidity of this area as well as the lukewarm water in the shallow end. As you can see, I'm wearing my neoprene booties, not fins, because the rock is very slippery and can be a nasty fall when walking on the petrified clay to get to the hole. So, I have limited mobility with little feet and only my arms to help propel me through the water--not a very comfortable situation but I wasn't NOT going to go in!! I'm wearing one of my micro bikinis and this video shows you my up-close view as well as the surface view looking down at me; kind of a two-for-one!
